Baby Jogger City Select with Second Seat Review

What do you look for in a stroller? Finding a good stroller can be quite a daunting task. A review of the best strollers should help. Even so, it’s hard to come by an honest review nowadays. I decided to write this unbiased review of the Baby Jogger City Select with Second Seat for two main reasons. One: It’s a quality stroller…I intent to have it in the family for a long time to come. Two: Their customer service is exceptional.

Some time ago, my Baby Jogger got trapped in an intermediary position. It would neither open nor fold. I contacted the customer service for assistance. They informed me that the frame had a life-time warranty and assured me that I would be assisted. After verifying ownership of the stroller, they arranged for shipping of the new frame. I liked that they were quick to offer assistance. They even waived return of the old frame – I explained that it would be difficult and sent images to back the claim. Such quality customer service is rare to come by.

We got this stroller when we knew we were about to have twins. I’m always picky, so you can be sure I spent a considerable amount of time doing research to find the best, reliable stroller. Having extensively used it since purchasing, I’m confident that it’s the best stroller any couple with twins can have. I also recommend it for parents with multiple children, close in age. I decided to write this review in appreciation of how my situation was handled.

Features of the Baby Jogger City Select with Second Seat

The baby jogger City selection is a loveable stroller. I really love how you can place the kids facing each other. The solid, durable build and quality features offered are unmatched. And with its impressive configuration settings and compactness when folded, this buggy is near perfect. It offers premium features for its price; which is something you don’t find in most other strollers. Here are some of its outstanding features:

Baby Jogger City Select with Second Seat isn’t one of those Lightweight Strollers. It’s a solid and heavy buggy. Though maneuverability may be slightly compromised due to its large mass, the buggy turns well for a big heavy and rigid stroller. It fares even better with stronger parents. Pushing this stroller requires less effort than most people would think.

But, turning it at the helm would require a little bit more effort if you are to turn quickly. The perks of having a solid buggy is that it would not jiggle, tip or topple whenever the kids try to find their way up.

Its 8” and 12” front and rear tires, quick-release, with ball bearings make for a smooth ride. Front wheel suspension makes for a comfortable ride even on rough roads. The kids have a comfortable ride, especially on longer walks.

Comfortable and Secure Seats

Perhaps the most loveable thing about the Baby Jogger City Select stroller would be its seats. They are designed with the child’s comfort in mind. They are Nicely padded and have a flexible back. The seats recline into several positions.

They can be reclined so far to allow the baby ride in apposition that they feel most relaxed and comfortable. This makes longer walks more fun and relaxing. The seats are reversible and can be positioned to either face forward or face the parent.

Baby Jogger City Select with Second Seat is an amazing feature that allows you to play around with the little ones…or sing them a song as you stroll facing them. The seat height can be adjusted to accommodate growth. Rest assured this buggy will stay in the family for the long haul.

Nice Grip, Adjustable Handlebar

I can say for a fact that this buggy handles well. It glides well in the hands. And you never get tired. This must be the effect of the nicely Padded handlebar grip. They feel so comfortable and the grip is always gentle on the hands. It helps in longer rides.

The handlebar accommodates parents with different heights. It adjusts between 39’3” and 41’8”. My husband loves this feature. He is able to ride the stroller without hunching over. He simply adjusts the handlebar height to suit his height.

The handbrakes are fast and steady to secure the buggy in a stationary position. Braking to park is easy. The braking system is controlled from the handle bar, making it easy to halt and park or disengage the brakes.

Cool, Cozy Sunshade

The sun’s wrath has nothing on the sunshade that comes with this buggy. Your kids in the stroller will always be under a cool and cozy sunshade – that can be drawn back when there is no need for one. The sunshade is of average size; which is OK with me. The larger ones seem to amass the area and make the stroller seem rather wieldy.

This size sunshade serves the purpose quite succinctly. It runs out to three positions and you can unzip the mess backing. This enables it to come forward to protect your cuties from the low angle sun.

For taller kids, the sunshade adjusts upwards to accommodate their height. There is a peek-a-boo window with a magnetic closure for you to see your kids as you ride.

Ease of Folding, Unfolds on a Dime

The stroller can actually come down using one hand. It doesn’t get any easier! However, there is a bit of a learning curve to it. During the first days with the stroller, I found it hard to use a single hand to fold it up. I had to deploy a helping hand occasionally.

Then, I became used to its motions when folding. Now, I’m a pro and I can comfortably hold my baby in one hand while folding the stroller using the other. You’ll also love that the buggy can be wheeled around when folded.

It’s not as compact as single stroller might be, but it assumes a small size when folded; it can fit in my car trunk. Unfolding is quick and easy. Only two steps involved: unlock and draw out the stroller until it locks in place.

Very Friendly Customer Service

Though not a feature of the stroller per se, I fell in love with the quality service offered and the amicability of the customer service. It made me love this stroller the more, knowing there is always assistance a call away.

The stroller itself is easy to assemble and it offers excellent Pram. It’s easy to use and offers loveable premium features. I had loved the buggy already.

But, when I had a query that was swiftly and professionally handled by the friendly staff and customer service, my love for the buggy doubled. It’s so rear finding quality service and friendly customer service these days.
