Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller Review
Why would a parent of two need a single stroller? My husband and I purchased the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Strollers to take to Disney World (we got annual passes). These buggies came in handy when my husband and I had to take our daughter and son in different directions. We purchased this particular Brand for a number of reasons: partly for its premium features, but mostly for its amazingly low price. This one time, my husband and I witnessed a couple whose stroller had been stolen from the stroller park at Magic Kingdom.
From that incident, we set our budget to under a stroller. Even so, we wanted to get something that would be compact and lightweight, easy to fold, and offered ample storage space. To secure the tots, we sought something with a 5-point harness.
Overall, the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller impressed me. Great performance, incredible durability, and quality features for a budget stroller. I still have a price double stroller, but I plan on keeping the single strollers for a long time to come. It is the perfect low-priced stroller to take to the park. I compiled this review of Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller to help you know everything you need to know about this buggy.
Features of the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller
The kolcraft is a lovable stroller. Its lightness makes it easy to bring along. And it maneuvers smoothly. I like the handle on it and how it absorbs rough areas. It comes in a great design and features premium specs for a budget stroller. Checkout some of its outstanding features:
Lighter and Sturdy
My lightweight double stroller feels good and handles well. So, I expected this single stroller to feel even lighter; and it did not fail to impress. I recommend this buggy for parents retiring from the really massive and bulky strollers.
If you are looking for a travel system stroller that is more travel-friendly, then this buggy should settle well with you. With its weight registering at about 12 pounds, the cloud plus lightweight is truly a champion among the lightweight contenders.
It’s made of lightweight polyester and steel frame; both light and sturdy. It would amaze you how much weight this buggy can hold up. Even with its meager weight and size, this buggy offers all necessary full-size stroller features; only smaller, ultra-compact and more nimble.
Compact Standing and Maneuverable
Single strollers are easy to Maneuver, even though busy sidewalks and crowded areas. I find the kolcraft stroller to be a smooth ride. Strolling with it through the busy parks is easy. It proves very convenient when you have to pass through throngs of people in the amusement parks.
My full size double Strollers is pricey, rides smoothly, and offers comfort to the kids. But, maneuverability is certainly compromised. The Cloud plus single stroller is compact and really…really light weight. It rides smoothly and feels comfortable pushing it everywhere I go.
When we first got our Kolcraft strollers, we quickly put them together and got my 1 year old in it. I pushed it around our kitchen; baby was excited going in circles and I was amazed how easy it handled. I couldn’t wait to take it to the park. I still feel the same excitement – 4 months later.
Cool and Cozy
My kids love this buggy. I cannot stop my 1 year old daughter from playing with the canopy. She just loves to look back through the peek-a-boo window and sneak me a smile. The canopy helps shield my lovelies from the sun’s rage on the really hot sunny days. It tucks away easily when not in use. But I always keep it up for my daughter.
The seats recline and have a 5-point harness for safety. My little daughter is quite the squirmy type. I tend to think she can get herself out of anything – she is yet to conquer the five-point harness. But that will be in years to come!
The recline on the seats make for comfort. They have a nice recline that is easy to adjust. My little girl likes the recline going all the way down, so I would always take it pretty far for her to rest comfortably. Especially during longer walks.
How Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight buggy feels in the hands is just loveable. It handles fine. And you would not get fatigued during longer strolls.
The handle bar is just the right height to feel comfortable with both short and taller parents. Its handlebar grip is nicely padded for a comfortable feel and to eliminate fatigue. You will simply love how the buggy rolls in the hands.
The suspension on the wheels makes for an amazing ride, the buggy glides over rougher terrain as though it was still in the flats. I would rate it highly for its amazing performance on terrain plagued with debris.
Easy One-Hand Fold
The kolcraft cloud plus lightweight is perfect for travel and vacations. It folds easily, using only a single hand. Even so, there is a bit of a learning curve to the easy single hand fold – the buggy catches slightly.
However, this corrects itself as the buggy wears with time. When folded, the buggy assumes a compact form that is easy to handle, carry and store.
I like how the cloud plus lightweight stroller is able to stand on its own when folded. This makes it easy to store away. It fits in the trunk of the car without taking up much space. Or it can be stored in the basement, leaning on the wall. It sure helps in maintenance, ensuring it lasts in the family for the long haul.
For a compact, small-sized single stroller, the Kolcraft Cloud offers more than enough storage space. There is a large accessible storage basket for your utility with larger items to carry. Besides this, the stroller comes with a parent tray for your utility and a child tray for the little cuties.
I find the included cup holder to be convenient – I’m quite the coffee addict, so I’d always have a mug of coffee to go whenever I take my girl for a walk. Little Johnny likes playing with his father in the house.
I must admit, the storage offered by this buggy is smaller than what a fuller stroller or double stroller would offer, but still, it fits any parent’s needs. It fits the diaper bag, which is fine for me.
